You Say I am Loved

Today is a music day.

Today was an off day.  I woke up way too early and woke up feeling dejected.

The good news was the doctors didn’t find anything in the MRI (no tumor, no stroke). The bad news was the doctors didn’t find anything in the MRI (no cause for the seizures).

In order to get more data on where the seizures are coming from, the doctor wants more data on them while they were actually happening. That means I am currently hooked up to a portable EEG monitor.

I got hooked up yesterday. It really hurt at first. I don’t know why my head was so sensitive, but it was.

I was supposed to get hooked up Monday. However, the monitor wasn’t talking to the computer, so I had to go back Tuesday.

It didn’t help that I ended up in the emergency room last week with a migraine, so I had a follow-up visit Tuesday afternoon with the doctor that I went to when all of this started.

Here I am traipsing in there with my head all wrapped up in gauze. My son is making mummy jokes. My Springfield mom is wondering how many stares I will get. I just want answers.

I got some. Since I am having more noticeable seizures and migraines since I started taking the medicine that is supposed to prevent seizures and migraines, it is not working for me. She wants to make some changes.

I came out of that appointment finally feeling feeling confident that someone had my best interest at heart. I felt someone had me.

I know God always has me. I love the chorus of Lauren Daigle’s song You Say.

“You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And you say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don’t belong, oh You say I am Yours”

I am God’s, even when I mess up. Even when I look like the bride of Frankenstein.

God has me.
