Crowned or Crucified

Today is a music day.

Today was a good day. I went to the doctor, and I no longer have to wear the boot cast. We said if I have little twinges every once in a while, I could slap it back on. If it really gets bothering me, I can go back to him.

But for right now, wedding shoes, here I come!

Hopefully.

This day filled up quickly, so I am going to do a music day. (Yes, I am going to record some new ones, soon, hopefully. With a partner — my partner — Pastor Steve.)

As we are approaching Easter, it is easy to just think about all Jesus did for us. He suffered and died so that we could live.

But it takes something from us. We have to accept His gift of salvation.

Until we say, yes, Lord, I believe You died to save me from my sins, and I promise to follow God’s laws and commandments, just knowing about Easter isn’t enough.

We have to stand alone and decide what we are going to do with Him.

Are we going to crown Jesus King of our hearts? Or are we going to leave Him crucified and buried in a tomb?

Thing is, Jesus isn’t buried in the tomb, regardless of what we decide. He rose from the dead for us. He lives eternally in Heaven.

So, we have to decide. What are we going to do with Him? When we stand at the bar of God, are we going to say crowned or crucified?
