We are to consistently study Scriptures to learn of God.
God authored Scriptures to show mankind how to be godly.
- We need to hear God’s Word in order to follow it.
- While God wants us to hear His Word — even more — He wants us to listen to it.
- We have to agree with what we hear and let it change us.
- God wants us to focus on Him, not our past mistakes.
- We have to be prepared and prepare others for the day of the Lord.
- Our joy is because of God.
- The product of God’s joy is our strength.
- We are to be reminded of God’s Word.
- Our focus should be on coming before God in humility, truth, and service.
- Speculation leads us to ungodliness instead of to God.
- Living out God’s Word helps ground us when others try to lead us astray.
- A godly foundation helps us resist temptation to sin.
- God prepares us so that we may be of use to Him.
- God prepares us by cleansing us of our sin.
- Repentance changes us to be who God has called us to be.
