The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that describes His sovereign reign.

  • Instead of it being a physical location, the kingdom of God is also spiritually the kingdom of God describes His sovereign reign. His rule over mankind was extended through the Plan of Salvation. By ABCDing, we submit our lives to Him (Conversations with a King).
  • God’s kingdom has a specific entrance requirement. Oh, anyone can get in — anyone who meets that requirement. Being Jewish isn’t a requirement. Being a Pharisee isn’t a requirement. That requirement is that we be born again (Born for the Kingdom).
  • Jesus’ kingdom is above and beyond what Pilate expected (Conversations with a King).
  • Jesus earned His kingdom by being God’s Son and by being the Sacrifice for our sins (Conversations with a King).
  • Jesus’ kingdom wouldn’t have been from around there because His kingdom is in our hearts. Because His is not a physical, worldly kingdom, the rewards will neither be physical or worldly (Conversations with a King).
  • Just hearing about the kingdom of God isn’t enough. We have to understand. Jesus told the parable about the sower to help us understand how we receive knowledge about the kingdom (Receiving the Kingdom).
  • God’s Word must be our guide as we keep our thought processes firmly focused on His kingdom. We have to be ready to fight back (Receiving the Kingdom).
  • Jesus’ resurrection was just a portion of the hope. This hope had been present throughout the Old Testament and included salvation and the establishment of God’s kingdom (How Do We Know We Have Eternal Hope?).
