Grace is a free and unmerited gift from Heavenly Father given through His Son, Jesus Christ that enables salvation and spiritual healing to believers. Because of God’s infinite grace, He devised the plan of salvation that made Jesus our Redeemer in order to forgive us of our sins.
- God wants us to cut out the old sin and replace it with His love and grace. He doesn’t want it to just be a ritual or symbolic. God wants the change to be real, personal, and genuine (How Are Disciples Humble?).
- God wants us to get back to where Adam and Eve were before the original sin, which we can through grace (How Are Disciples Pure in Heart?)
- Faith is what accepts the gift of grace when we are still sinners — far from being righteous (What Is Righteousness?)
- Righteousness is the result of the process of sanctification, where we grow in grace and knowledge to change us to increase our holiness (Disciples’ Duty to the Poor).
- We have to grow in grace and knowledge through sanctification until we have His character (Disciples’ Duty to the Poor).
- Because God awaits to give us mercy and grace, we can approach Him unreservedly (How Does Boldness Help Consistency?)
- No matter how much we grow in grace and knowledge (I Pet. 3: 18), there will always be the battle while we are in these earthly bodies (What Is Self-Discipline?)
- Nowhere under the law was provision for grace and mercy (How Do We Let the Spirit Lead?)
- God developed the plan of salvation because of His grace (How Do We Benefit from Being God’s People?)
- God has one purpose – to further His kingdom – which He does that by choosing to show us grace and mercy (Blessings, Not Curses).
God’s grace does not preclude Him from requiring us to obey His laws and commandments. It doesn’t mean He just have to give us the good stuff and not require anything from us. God is not the God of entitlement (Will There Be a Judgment Day?).
